Description:

The Bolehills has been around for ages and was one of the areas where I learnt to jump. Made 'famous' by the Will Longden section in the old-school film ChainSpotting, it went through a spell of being a dirt jumpers paradise. Since then it has been seriously modified and is now a top quality BMX race track once more.

Thanks to Sheffield Dirt Society the track now features huge berms, doubles, step ups, rollers and a tarmac start hill. Gate practice takes place duirng the summer and there is always a good mix of riders there from kids on BMX bikes to the BSX boys sessioning the doubles on the back straight.

Good enough to host a National BMX race but easy enough to roll around on your bike, this track is fun and versatile.

Directions:

Located on the West side of the city, the track is easily accesible from the A61 (Barnsely, Donny) or A57 (Manchester). The track is on Bole Hill Road, Walkley, Sheffield.

By car you can access the track from a narrow dirt lane that leaves the road via a gate, just up the road from the pub.
